DWIV Mini : War General Portrait

Brief:
The rules are simple - create a portrait of a leader capable of leading troops to victory! Your war general portrait can be from any time period and any race. As long as he/she/it looks like a war general, has the appropriate team war logo somewhere on the body/clothes, and has the appropriate team colors (gold and black for GA), everything is good!

Concept:
For my War General concept, I was inspired by another poster’s request for someone to create a female General – “strong, virtuous and leading the troops with an iron hand”. And I'm a sucka for a powerful woman. So I imagined a young passionate, charismatic, highly motivated, phenom of a general. The type that becomes even more appealing because their performance begs the question "Wow! How can he/she be so good, and be so young?" – similar to the way Leonidas was depicted in “300”.

I named her Sankofa, an Adinkra symbol used by the Asante people of Ghana. It symbolizes one taking from the past what is good and bringing it into the present in order to make positive progress through the benevolent use of knowledge. I figure that would work great for a general and I decided to actually create a mount based on the Sankofa behind her as well.

As for her ‘iron hand’, it’s actually an alien artifact that was originally worn by a much larger warrior. She simply puts two fingers in the two forward most slots.

After my final submission and about a week of public voting, I came in as the 2nd Place 2D Finalist for GameArtisans! I was only 1 vote away from 1st place. But overall, not too bad for my first Dominance War Mini Challenge!
